Upstate Snow was created by Rich Lupia and his company Lupia & Associates LLC. Launched on September 15, 2012, Upstate Snow has grown tremendously over the last 9 years to become one of the top winter weather sites in Upstate NY. It was Rich's love for snowmobiling, the lack of specific weather information for snowmobilers, and a desire to promote the local snowmobile clubs that make the sport great and safe for so many people, that led to Upstate Snow.
In 9 years the site has been viewed over one million times in all 50 states and more than half the nations of the world. We have developed a following of over 14,000 on Facebook and routinely reach thousands of people with our weather forecasts, videos and podcasts.
This effort takes hundreds of hours per year, and especially long days during the snowmobile season, to make this site what it is. It has been through many generous individuals, businesses and organizations that has made this site possible. This site will always remain free, never behind a paywall.
