THE RECOVERY BEGINS
It may be hard to see it at first light this morning, but yesterday’s storm did a freak show worth of damage to the trail system across Upstate NY, especially in areas that are currently open to riding (North Country, Tug Hill and Adirondacks). There are tree branches and limbs down everywhere after hours and hours of sustained 40-60 MPH winds! There is WAY LESS SNOWPACK than there was before this yesterday. Areas that had 1 1/2 to 3 feet of snow prior to this event, are now down to between 6 to 12 inches. Those that were 6 to 12 before this? LAWNS.

There is a weak storm moving overnight and through tomorrow. This is a weak clipper. Don’t mention it or anything!

It’s not good. Basically, if you are a rider, simply put, clubs ABSOLUTELY NEED YOUR HELP THIS WEEKEND. PERIOD. END OF STORY. Don’t go to ride. Go to help! There are much more limited areas to ride anyway. After 50s and thunderstorms yesterday, the early season start we got has been almost wiped out. Another day of it and we definitely would have. But we are just saying, if you have any time or ability today, MAKE THIS THE SATURDAY BEFORE CHRISTMAS THAT YOU GIVE BACK. OR THE SUNDAY. BECAUSE WE WILL NOT BE HERE TOMORROW.
