The rains and thunderstorms are coming! Haven’t seen them just yet? Don’t wait too long!
Sorry I have been running behind today with everything. And the rains and thunderstorms are steadily rolling through Western NY and are approaching Central NY and the Southern Tier now. Before long the Capital Region and the Hudson Valley will be in play by this evening. This is a quick moving storm. This is the first of two storms.
After this moves through tonight, we get a break that will save most of tomorrow. It might save some HS football games, mainly the Friday Night games. On Saturday? Nope. No saving allowed. It will be a cooler and rainy day with temperatures in the 50s and 60s across the state.
This sets the stage for not just the cooler weekend but also for the first half of next week. I can tell you each day as temperatures have entered the 7 day they have been getting better. With the NW flow aloft it should keep it cooler but the 8-14 is looking more normal now. And the 3-4 week even better. So think about this cool brush of air as just a temporary blip on the radar.
