Wait… WHAT??? I thought there were tropical systems down there ONLY. I don’t remember this!!!
Actually you don’t have to remember that far back. That was January 21, 2025 in the panhandle of Florida where all time STATE RECORD SNOWFALL descended upon the panhandle of the Sunshine State. It’s the state we will be back into by tonight. And will be in all of next week and through Columbus Day before we return to South Carolina to resume normal operations on the 14th of October.
We can only hope by then at least we will have SOMETHING to talk about. Usually when stuff shows up in October it only last a few days, maybe a week at most. Then a big wave of warmth comes back and we are back to short sleeves and maybe one more time in a pair of shorts before that stuff goes away until May. At least most years.
We will be keeping a close eye on what’s off the coast of Florida, but just so you know, the National Hurricane Center is not worried about that one. Way farther out in the eastern Atlantic. That’s the one we are talking about. This has a slight possibility to have impacts by Columbus Day and beyond. Still a good 9-10 days away. For now. So we watch.
