It will not be a big one. Most will probably only see their first flakes in the air over the next few days as it gets colder. For those that are above 1000 feet, especially north of the Thruway, and a few select locations in the hills S of the Thruway, early season winter is about to arrive. There will be enough cold and enough moisture for there to be accumulations in some areas, mainly grassy areas, best chance above 1000′
Snowfall map is a total through Thursday morning November 4th. This is a Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday AM map… about a 48-60 hour window of forecasting. As you can see below here from the NAM 3KM, most areas I have get at least an hour of snow. Check the map for further details to you.
Not enough to ride on or even lawn jockey… except maybe on a Tug Hill seasonal road where on the hill proper someone will squeak out 4 or 5 inches, maybe 6. It will all melt in the next few days anyway. Not at the point we can add to tallies yet. Stay tuned. We are that much closer now. Enjoy the day and join where you ride!
