The Morning Blog 11.14.25

Good Morning from Owls Head in Franklin County! Northern NY still doing good on snow, especially in the higher elevations. However in the lower elevations, especially outside of areas north of the Thruway, it’s pretty much back to the typical November: A COLD NOVEMBER RAIN!

There will be some more rain and snow showers around today, but nowhere near as much as what happened in the last several days! We don’t have snow maps with several inches across the state and hundreds of accidents to report on! Oh my was that fun. The next round of storminess for Upstate NY, this one will not be as much as the last one.

Null

As you can see by tonight we are at least partly cloudy! There will still be a fair amount of clouds around but I would not expect it to be 100% cloudy, 100% of the time between now and tomorrow morning. There will be some breaks! Even if only temporary. Still some snow or rain showers around but those by far will be the exception rather than the rule.

Saturday afternoon and evening our next storm system moves on in. With it coming from the south and the west, I would expect this one to be that COLD NOVEMBER RAIN. With temperatures in the 30s and 40s. Nothing warm, but too warm for it to be snow. Saturday Night and Sunday Morning will see most of the rain showers roll on through the region. Then during the day on Sunday, the worm turns!

We see rain changing back to snow! This happens during the day on Sunday as temperatures actually begin to fall during the day, especially in the afternoon and evening. This will lead to at least a dusting, if not a few inches of additional accumulations. Again for most folks, this will be a northwest wind behind the system, so this will hit well south of Buffalo, well south of the south towns, and way off the Tug Hill and the Adirondacks. This will be a Mohawk Valley and Syracuse area event along with the Southern Tier getting its fair share of the snow.

That’s the way we are seeing things right now. Tune in tomorrow and I will have any updates to this. You saw I had them last time and those updates really came in handy and were a lot more accurate than the first ones. At least for most. Remember, you never get this all right, all the time. You just do the best you can!
